My lbs is just great. For 7 years they have been helpful, prompt and informative. Plus they keep track of my epic rides and always want to see some pictures and hear some stories. They all know me by sight and by voice on the phone. They lived with me dithering and lusting for 5 years as I saved for custom Madone. They celebrated with me when she was delivered and fitted. Today to top it all off, after doing a standard tune up and a chain replacement they sent her home thoroughly cleaned , lubed and an agreed upon new chain that is gold but also blinged out with red and orange caps on all the wire ends in addition to matching red air valve caps. The head wrench commented that " such a nice bike deserved to be fancied up a bit."

Sounds like a wonderful place. I've always thought bike shops should have a place to hang out, some comfy chairs or something... Bet the hang-ees would buy a bunch of stuff too.
