I would love to be able to bike to work. It would be a great stress reliever. I guess some people don't know how good they have it.

A new recruit in our division told me she had tried cycling to work and it only took her 35 min. one way. Tried it for several wks. I think. There is a bike path completely removed from car traffic that covers 85% of her route. I know this route and have biked it often to go shopping in her area.
Now she finds it best to drive to transit rail station, then commute in. If it works, that's great.
But interestingly she last told me she used to be a bike courier (probably over 10 yrs. ago). So she knew about tons of cycling and would be cycling competent. But she loves driving. My smiling message to her: "Don't underestimate yourself".
(And no, she doesn't have children or similar responsibilities that would make planning complicated. No, she doesn't have a job that demands overtime work and client meetings all over the city, etc.)
