I'll start, since I feel like I'm finally doing some riding again, after traveling. I rode a bit the week in between my trips (20 miles?), but yesterday, we did a 43 mile hilly ride (2,400 ft. of climbing) from Acton, the long way to the Nashoba Valley Winery. We rode up Oak Hill, into Harvard, then to Bolton Farms (going down a road I usually climb) for a drink stop, and then on to the winery. Right at the start of the climb to the winery, I dropped my chain and I couldn't get it back on by shifting to the big gear, so I had to stop. Pretty sure it was user error, as I was thinking about how hungry I was getting! The winery was packed. A wedding was going on outside, the restaurant was full, and the winery place and orchard pick your own peaches/apples was mobbed. We had pre-ordered our lunch, which was nice, and sat on the patio and ate. It was a lovely day and the nice thing about this ride is that 98% of the climbing is before lunch. I also feel that the second half is just riding in familiar territory. Part of it is my old commute home from work. I really miss having closer access to these roads, since I moved to Concord. I'm not far, but before, it was out the door and be in the hills of Harvard in 3 miles.
Went back to our friends' and had a beer, sat on the porch and talked. We haven't done enough of this, this sumer, as we both have been traveling. We discussed maybe leading this ride in the future. DH and I have another route we have taken for this ride, which is a little more direct, but involves an even steeper climb.
Today, DH did yard work while I did errands. Then, we went to the natural foods store by bike, later in the afternoon. A whole 12 miles, but fun. When I got back, I went to total the mileage on my 2 bikes and discovered the computer on my Kuota is broken. All my miles are lost. I have a pretty good idea, but still. And, I will have to get a new computer this winter.

I had a short but brutal go-around with a virus and had to miss my team ride up Mt. Lemmon Saturday, but did 31 miles solo out to Saguaro NP east and in the desert neighborhoods on Tucson's far east side.

The usual 40 with the club Saturday. Somehow I ended up by myself and around mile 30 hit a headwind. A very nice couple past me by and told me to get on their tail. I thanked them and took them up on their offer. The guy pulled all the way back to the park. I was very grateful. There's no way I could have maintained speed otherwise.
