Thailand, dirt road tours?

Hello all - DH and I are planning our trip to Thailand to celebrate our 30th.
I've found bike tours in the North, Golden Triangle/Chaing Mai/Chaing Rai that sound really cool They are billed as MTB tours but I'm confident it's jeep roads, village trails, dirt road and some pavement. Spice Road Cycle Tours keeps coming up. Has anyone done anything like this? Can you recommend a tour group to go through?

Try and find a .au cycling site, the aussies are always going to Thailand. Make sure you read up about safety there too. Recent news stories etc.

Try Grasshopper adventures...Owned by an Ozzie dude that used to work for Intrepid travel (He was our trip leader many many moons ago on a Rice Terrace & Mt Pinatubo tour).
