Our beloved Thorn Voyager child-back tandem has been outgrown. Built for us in 2004 in the UK and maintained carefully - good components and in great condition.

Perfect for the cycling family - fills the gap between childseat and riding solo - lets you both ride on the road or trail with the adult in control. For adult height 5 ft 4 to 5 ft 11 in front and child age 3 1/2 to 10 years old behind. The photos show the seat height for adult 5 ft 6.

Also we have a Yakima tandem sidewinder roof rack which is included, if the buyer collects the tandem, unless sold separately first (when this line will be deleted from the ad). Condition like new. Not advertised separately yet. I would ship the tandem (conti US), but not the rack.

We used the tandem for transport to and from preschool, kindergarten and then grade school as well as recreational rides. It rides fine regardless of whether the back seat is occupied or not - it is much more stable, more predictable, and easier to control than a tagalong. The back seat goes down to approx 26" from the ground so it is easy for little kids to climb on, and there are 2 positions for the pedals in the child's cranks (so that little legs do not have to spin big circles).

The bike has 27 speed wide range gearing, and comes with a Blackburn rack as shown and spare cables.
The frame was fitted by the manufacturer with S&S couplings and so it can be taken apart for travel by car/train/plane - takes 5 mins.
