    Warning: extremely shallow wheelset question!

OK, you guys are the only ones I can ask this question to without fear of being ridiculed. I warn you that it is extremely superficial and I know that the answer will have absolutely no impact on my riding or quality of life.

I have enough Team Performance points to buy a new wheelset. Right now I'm riding the stock Alex wheels, which are ok, kind of heavy. I was looking into the Mavic Open Pros with either Ultegra or 105 hubs. Should I get the black rims or silver rims? I know, I know, shallow. The stock Alex ones are black.

That's actually a tough one. Because your bike would look sweet either way.
I'd go with black, unless you want a look with more silver to it. But the silver would standout more against the tires, because the color frame you have I don't think has colors that come in tires, besides black.

I like the black too. It offset the little bit of black in the paint scheme. Don't worry, I'm shallow too. I told my husband I wanted an Orbea just cause it was so darn pretty! He shook his head at me.

Boy, that really is a tough one! But I think I'll go with the others and put my vote in for the black. Good luck with your decision!

I have the Open Pro wheels and I really love them. It was a step up from the Mavic wheels that came on my bike. I have the Ultegra set up.

Depends on what color your bike is as to rim color. I don't think you get to choose on the Open Pro- those are just spoke colors not rim colors if I'm not mistaken (....now I'll have to look at my bike again to see)

Check the links she provided. The rims are available in either color. The braking surface is machined silver on both.

I'm old school and tend to like silver, but somehow I like the black rims on that color bike. The black really sets off the blue and white, but I think either will be pretty. Fuji is really making some sharp looking bikes.
