I finally drank the bibs Kool-Aid and after 40ish miles am just not a fan. Everyone raved about how comfortable they are, but I never found the fronts of standard shorts to be uncomfortable. These have zippers along the sides to make bathroom breaks a bit easier, but I didn't like feeling like I was wearing a wet 1-piece bathing suit once I started sweating. YMMV. I know some people will only wear bibs, but I'm definitely not one of them. I think having a semi-long torso and semi-big boobs didn't really help matters. They felt sort of constrictive through my torso area.

I really liked the actual shorts part, though I found them to run maybe a half-size smaller than my Gore Oxygen shorts (which added to my lack of love and funky fit, I'm sure). I think I'm going to pick up a size L in the standard shorts version of these, since the cut and fabric are nice, as well as the wider leg bands.
