    (Yeah, I know this isn't food-related, but I thought if I put it where it belonged, it wouldn't be as easy to reference from the Food Experiments thread...)

    Is it hard to find nice fenders like that? Are they hard to install??

    Man, BF would DIE laughing if I put fenders on Lava. He already calls me The Little Red Randoneur because of the rack and lights.

    Still, imagine not having a back full of rain and sand and mud. It rains a lot here in the summer.

    We got ours at either REI or Rivendell. They are painted with Krylon paint to match the bike. They aren't hard to install if you have eyelets for them. If you don't have eyelets, you'll need to use zip ties.

    Racy bikes don't usually have enough room to install regular fenders. Planetbike has something called race blades you could try.
