    Frame: Easton Ultralight Aluminum
Front Fork Marzocchi Bomber MXPro 120 mm
Rear fork Fox Float RC 3” w/lockout

    XT cranks
    XT shifters
    Monkey Light carbon handlebars
    Salsa seat post

This bike is perfect for someone who would like to get into a full suspension, quality mountain bike without spending a ton. Or, it would be perfect for racing. This was Kona's top of the line FS build back then. This bike weights approximately 26#. The 15” frame is for 5’ to maybe 5’4”. I'm 5'3". There is new technology out there, but the frame geometry is tried and true and can take just about anything you want to ride on.Click image for larger version.

It has seen a lot of great trails and does have some scratches and a little dent in the down tube, and the brake levers don't match.I have taken good care of it, other than a lot of trail miles. I have been keeping this bike as a spare but it's time to make some room in the stable. This bike has excellent trail karma: it's seen IMBA epics, women's rides, bike camps, and helped me to take my riding from beginner to expert.

If you are wondering why I put up a photo of a blue Mokomoko bike, this blue frame is the exact same frame as the silver King Kikapu frame of the same year. (Easton Ultralight aluminum frame with TIG welding) When this bike was built at Vertical Earth, Kona was out of the silver frames in 15” so they sent this one instead; it IS the 2001 King Kikapu build. Any questions about this and I can put you in touch with the builder.

    Buyer to pay packing/shipping.

And I am very disappointed! This bike got kick-azz reviews over on MTBR Reviews -- check them out:

Really wanted it to work but standover was just a bit tall for me. Someone will be lucky to get this bike!
