My 3 year old can ride on 2 wheels!

Last night we took the training wheels off and taught DS how to ride his bike. Here is a little video I made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV0ys...&feature=share

I know I am going to get blasted about him not wearing a helmet. I probably should have waited . . . Our helmets were all packed away in our camper. On our return home from a trip this weekend the trailer frame snapped. It's currently at a shop being welded back together. We should have it back this afternoon. Anyways, that's where the helmets are. I limited the kids riding to the backyard and the closed-off street adjacent to our yard.

oh bless him, well done! Lovely video. Has he stopped riding since?

My four year old started school this week and has done 10miles in total on her bike with training wheels going there and back every day. I am SO proud of her.

Oh Limewave, I remember when you were pregnant. Has it really been 2 years? He is such a cutie! Oh, oops! THREE years...

Awesome video, Limewave! He looks so proud of himself.
I still remember when my nanny called me at work and asked if she could take the training wheels off of my older son's bike when he was in kindergarten. I said, "Sure, if you want to take him to the hospital"... he was not the most coordinated kid. But, when I got home about 1.5 hours later, he was riding down the sidewalk. I wish I had a video of that.
Other DS taught himself to ride, on the grass in our front yard after we moved to Massachusetts. Of course, he's the one who became a racer .
