    Everything suddenly feels.weird!

So last night I was doing my usual ride which is 14-20 miles on a combo of paths and roads. Very familiar route. However, the ride felt different. My bike felt twitchy for lack of a better term and I felt like I was coming out of the cockpit. I almost felt like I was overpowering the bike which is virtually impossible. I'm not that fast or that young. I haven't changed anything recently and my bike fits well. Occasional hand numbness or neck pain but that's when I'm being lazy with my positioning. I guess what I'm asking is has anybody else experienced this and is it just a fluke or would being re-fit since I'm a stronger rider than when I started would be a good idea?

I agree I'd ride more and see if things still feel strange. Are you riding more aggressively? Maybe getting into the drops more than you used to?

It's possible your seat moved, maybe lowered a bit? Maybe you should check that it's not loose and that it's in the right position (if you have a way of figuring that out). My husband, who rides tons of miles, realized after a few rides where he was experiencing pain and not riding his best, that his seat had lowered. He did at least one 100 mile ride that way. The next time he rode, with seat properly adjusted, he was like a new rider.

Check if your headset might have loosened.
