    I just wish the registration fee wasn't so high!! These gran fondos are pricy.

    True. I think I might sign up, though. I've been wanting to do a local century, and this will give me enough time to ramp up my mileage. I was on a tour last week and rode 70 miles every day without a problem, but I don't want to get lazy now that I'm back. I need a goal and this is a mighty convenient one. I've never done a gran fondo before.
