Most of you are probably aware that I have been suffering from Plantar Fasciitis and am slowly recovering. Tomorrow will mark 8 weeks since the onset of this particular hellish affliction, and while I'm getting better, I've still got a way to go.
I believe that good things can come out of bad fortune. While I am disappointed that I will not go back to running, I am very happy to be regaining the swimmer's muscles that I lost when is got back into running! In addition, I am back to rowing, something I used to love to do.
I miss taking long walks but I'm sure that it's only a matter of time before I can do that again.
Injuries are the pits. But they offer us opportunities to discover new or rediscover old activities, and they give you a chance to get stronger---physically and mentally.
