    Happy New Year TE'ers

For me the upcoming year will include a cross country move and a significant effort to get off my butt more often. How about you, will '06 have changes in store for you??

    Cheers to 2006!

    i definitely need to:

spend less time on the internet,
do some daily exercise, whether it be riding or something else,
    Smile and laugh more often,
sleep more than 5 hours a night,
get a job I can be passionate about (I will graduate late May from my Master's program),
and eat a little healthier (i.e., lay off the sweets and alcohol).
    Cheers!

Queen - where are you moving to? Sounds exciting.
For me and mine I guess its to try and see as much as we can of this beautiful country. Oh and yeh getting off my butt more sounds good too.

    Hummm...

No move for me (I just moved across Canada to start a PhD in British Columbia) but I will try to keep working toward being a bit less of a last-minute person, which means having a more organized schedule. Training for the March UBC Sprint Triathlon is part of the plan to reach this goal, since it forces me into having a more defined structure (and kickin' my butt in the morning to get in the pool at 7:30).

That will be my only resolution for 2006, I think.

My SO is an academic librarian who loves her work so we'll move where she gets a position, right now it looks like it'll be Arizona. We looked in CA but there aren't many jobs in her area there and I can find work anywhere (there's no shortage of mentally ill/homeless/desperately poor folks).

I'm thrilled to get away from IL, I'm not a fan of endless cold with grey skies.

Sounds great - I love the parts of Arizona I have seen.

Oh, man, I hear you. I'm in Chicago. I love Chicago. Chicago is my home.
    ...and...
It is grey, cold, and short on light these days. I'm going out for a run right now, just to feel like I got in a bit of daylight. Good luck with finding your new home! May it be sunny! Lise

Thanks Lise! My SO is a Chicago native and there was an excellent job opening there that we looked at...then we realized that if we're going to move, let's make the break and go where it's SUNNY!
