Until the above sentence, I was going to whole-heatedly recommend Keen sandals. Sandals are my go-to "shoe" for everything. I even love them in the winter, when I can put as many sock layers on as I need to keep warm. They are velcro and I would wear them for triathlons, but I would also come in last...

Shimanos are out - can't get them tight enough. Pearl Izumis just seemed uncomfortable. Sidis seem too expensive. So, I like the Specialized Riata, but I'm intrigued by the Louis Garneau Women's Multi Rx. I can't find them locally though, and wonder if anyone has experience with 1) sizing (do they rn narrow? Wide?) and 2) stiffness, since they seem to be a spin type shoe, would the Riata's be stiffer? If they are narrow and stiff, I might go that way because I don't need all the tread on the Riata. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
