I'm in love (yes, with my new bike)!

    Hi Everyone,
My hubby designs and builds frames. My previous mtn bike was designed by him, but he did not do all the fabricating and welding. So this time around he did and I love it!

I took it out to the foothills yesterday, so no real mountain riding yet, but if just flowed and fit great and I must say I love steel!

I'm going to have it painted, currently I'm thinking I'll have it powdercoated green and put some pearl and orange flames (or should I go with white frame and green and orange flames?) I don't know if I can let go of it long enough to get some color.

I didn't buy any new components (I took everything off of my Titus).

Oh, I'm so excited ! Please don't snow soon.

Snow??...in Albuquerque??...we don't get no stinking snow here (I keep repeating that to myself.......makes my morning commutes simpler! )

Your ride looks Awesome Snow! Man I'm with ya on having it painted....it sure looks purty just like it is. If you Can let it go - I'd say white frame with green/orange flames! Give your hubby hugs and kisses for doing such an excellent job!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

SUH WEET! How cool is that??? Not only a new bike, but the DH is the builder... way cool...
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".

I know, it's great he can build! He's currently working on a titanium single speed and I'm beginning to think maybe I should have a titanium bike? The list could be endless. But with my new bike I'm kind of getting two new bikes, I'm going to turn my old bike into a singlespeed (something I've never done). Everyone I know with singlespeeds love them, I'm still thinking of how that will feel on the knees.
