I just wanted to thank-you all for being the wonderful, supportive, <sometimes> crazy group that you are!!! We all have things to be thankful for, but this year for me is extra special. Angels do come into your life when you need them most...I am living testimony to that!! I have my struggles right now, but I am coming along. I have a personal goal to ride my bike again in the spring, and I will no matter what happens!! The guys at my LBS
sent me a box full of catologues to drool over until I am better...hmmm, maybe it is time to start thinking about that SEVEN!!!
giving thanks for you...

Don't think of it as getting hot flashes. Think of it as your inner child playing with matches
Hey Karen you often pop into my mind and I wonder how your day is going. I read my husband your post about your stroke and he agrees that you are an inspiring person who has what it takes to get back out on that bike and face head on whatever other challenges come your way.Originally Posted by massbikebabe

Hi, Karen,
I'm new to the boards, and just wanted to chime in my best wishes to you as you recover. Amazing what the spirit can do. Happy Thanksgiving. Lise
With all your determination I do not doubt that you will be riding again in the spring. Enjoy looking through all those catalogs.

Karen, I was thinking a lot about you these last few days. I sure missed you on the Board. I love that you're back and in fighting spirits.
Great bike shop that will send home a personal supply of bike porn for your enjoyment.![]()

Karen, I love your positive, fighting attitude! Are you sick of the i-word yet? Hope not, since you are a real-life inspiration. Come out to CA for the Cinderella in the spring, and bring the new Seven. You'll have lots of TE sisters to ride with!

the only word I am getting really sick of is DISABILITY!! If one more person gives me that all telling patronizing look, and then says the word disabled, I am going to have to lift my bad leg, and swing my bad arm right at them. I AM NOT DISABLED...(I have temporarily become indisposed because of a power shortage!!) It will be funny when I show up at a bike ride in the spring with my legs in braces, and my arms in canes, then crawl up on my Trek and kick their butts!!I am so preparing for that day!!!! And you can bet money I'll post pictures!!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
