    Bike rides solve everything

I was not having a good afternoon yesterday for various reasons. I went home after waiting for the student I was supposed to be shadowing to show up. (I get the impression the professor never sent an email...) Then I took my bike out for a short (~6mi, 45 minutes) ride around my new neighborhood (or rather, the one on the other side of the road...).

Long story short: While the drivers are far more courteous than they are in my neighborhood back home, the pavement is terrible. I also learned that I didn't drink enough water yesterday. I'm also down another pair of shorts. Granted, they're an old pair I use for the trainer and short rides, but still...they officially need to go.

A nice ride in good weather is very good for clearing one's mind. I managed to get both of my major problems solved after that.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

Yes, they do have that wonderful habit of giving your brain time to find clarity.

You said it. A nice ride in bad weather can even help clear one's mind. My DH knows and he comes home and I have the "look" on my face, he'll tell me to go take a hike oops, I mean go ride my bike.
