Question What to do with unwanted helmet?

I recently bought a new helmet and, after a few weeks of riding with it, have decided that it doesn't fit right. It's still nearly new and I hate to throw it out, but I'm not sure that I'd be able to re-sell it or donate it anywhere.

    Ideas?

Do you have any cycling friends/fellow club members who could use a new helmet? I, personally, wouldn't buy a used helmet--unless I knew and trusted the person selling it.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

Freecycle or donate to a group that promotes cycling for kids/teenagers.

I'm with you, Indy....hence my hesitation to sell it. I have let the president of a local cycling club know that it's available. He may know of someone who can't afford a helmet for themselves or their kid....

It's a Giro Phase, size small, in silver/gray and white. I paid ~$50, but haven't thought about what I'd want for it.

Another thought would be to keep it as spare or for lending it for visiting friends (I have my own helmet at a friend's house in WA... we ride together when I visit).

I like the Craigs list idea for a week, if not bites, and you feel generous, I"d free cycle also.

I had a friend give me a helmet years ago. I know nothing about brands but If someone like me who doesn't know would go to local bike shop and see/check on out, then I'd buy it off of Craigs list. So yes, it's worth it to try there also to recoup if you want to do that.

I've not had an hair issues from taking this helmet from the person that gave it to me as I trusted them.
