    Favorite Trainers

I know it's a little early in the year to be looking for indoor trainers since the weather's still nice, but I'm hoping if I give myself enough time I can get a good deal on a trainer.

Does anyone have a trainer they love and would recommend? Or hate and would never buy again?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. Link. I like it as much as I could like a trainer

I have a Minoura B60R. I wanted the Kurt Kinetic, but being a poor student, that's a little out of my price range! The Minoura's magnetic, so it's noisier, though not terribly so. It's lightweight, folds for storage, and while you will need to change skewers, it's not all that difficult to get the bike in and out.

Rollers are a better workout and you can improve your handling skills, but I'm pretty sure I'd kill myself with them...

    Still here!!!
I'm completely uncoordinated, which is the problem...
Also much harder to catch up on my TV with rollers.

Thanks for the recommendations! I've never seen the roller type before, all the ones I've seen so far have been the magnetic ones. At least I think they were magnetic, are all of the ones that look like Blueberry's and Owlie's magnetic?

Blueberry's (the Kurt Kinetic) is a fluid trainer. The advantage with fluid trainer is that it's quieter and it feels more road-like because you can "coast" to a stop. The disadvantages are that some people feel like it's too much resistance even on low settings, and obviously they're a lot more expensive. They can leak too.

It'll generally tell you if it's fluid or magnetic. They can look pretty similar in small pictures.
