Crankin, I have no idea what is is, but I know how I'd probably just ice and elevate it. I'd probably take a few doses of NSAIDs, too. Hopefully, it's just some short-lived muscle inflammation or minor tear.

OK wise women of TE, I need help in identifying which muscle I have aggravated.
This started hurting, a dull ache, soreness near the end of a ride this morning, after I had stopped for a coffee break. I didn't feel anything pull, or have any searing type pain. The ride was not a difficult one, just a normal one for me. I haven't been riding more than usual, although I did a lot of climbing Sunday and Tuesday I rode at 5 AM and did some climbing when I may not have been warmed up.
The pain is on the inside of my thigh, about 2 inches above the knee. It is exactly on the side of my leg, not on the hamstring or quad, and it goes in a straight line, in a circular area. At the top of the painful area, it heads a little toward the back, but not much.
My cycling tour to the Finger Lakes starts Sunday. Help!

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

I'd guess gracilis? I usually do best figuring things out by looking at anatomy charts and poking my fingers around until I can identify each muscle (or bone, or whatever is ailing me).
This help?
Whatever it is, hope it heals quickly.

That's what I would guess, too, although the pain seems to be a bit more diffuse now. I iced it last night. I really can't do NSAIDs, they hurt my stomach horribly, but it's not searing pain or anything. Trying not to say too much to DH, who will order me to not do anything that will make me ruin my trip!
Today's a rest day, so I might do some yoga/stretching or take a light walk. Walking seems to help, even though it's still there, it makes it feel better, if that makes sense.
OK, off to do pre-trip laundry and other stuff before I actually go to work.
