Well, it finally decided to become summer here in the Southwest. All next week the highs will be over 100 degrees F. So needless to say, I have not been doing my early AM runs. We get up about 5 am but even then the low is 75-80I'm having a hard enough time staying hydrated during the day when I'm inside in the AC.
I'm hoping that maybe by August the temps won't be so bad. I could be totally wrong on this hope. But there is always hope, right? If its cool, strangley enough, I don't mind getting out there and running or fast hiking in my case.

I couldn't decide whether to do the 12-mile loop that I didn't feel quite in shape or heat-acclimated enough to try, or a shorter one, so I set off on the 12-miler, but walked the rest of the way in once I'd got halfway up my road. Felt pretty much all right. But I still can't decide about Columbus marathon.
