Is it just chipped paint? Should I worry?

My nearly new Ruby has boo-boo and I don't know how serious it is.

I just got back from a long road trip with my DH. The bikes were on the bike rack on the car for about 2000 miles. When I cleaned her up after we got home, I noticed a chip in the paint on the fork. I would say it is about 2 mm across. I think a piece of gravel might have been thrown up from the highway while we were driving and chipped it.

Should I worry about this? I know carbon frames are less forgiving of problems than other frames.

Odds are it's probably just chipped paint. Grab a magnifying glass and look at it from an angle to see if there's any damage to the underlying material.

I'd say take a bit of nail polish to it once you're done, but I don't know if you can do that safely with carbon like you can with aluminum or steel.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

You might want to contact your LBS about getting a small bottle of touch-up paint after you check for other issues like Owlie suggested.
