So I finally took my crated bike to my LBS, for it's uncrating, reassembly, and fit tomorrow. Steve was concerned that something may happened to the bike in moving and storage. I knew the bike was packed well, as it was packed by a bike shop in New Orleans, so to me it was the moving process. Wheels were true and I go back tomorrow for a fitting.
Best yet, Steve used to be a PT - so he's all for getting my bike ready for me to perch on a trainer in a month after next week's knee surgery. Laughed with me with my remark about "what took me so long to bring it in". So the plan is to get my knee fixed, and get ready to ride again.
But riding the STP is out for this year. Like I even considered it![]()

Excellent! You gave time a long chance to do its job, so I think you've made a good decision by getting the surgery. Now your bike will be ready for you when you're ready for it. Wishing you a speedy recovery, and nice bike shop guys!
