    Gravel roads

Is there any problem with riding wet gravel roads/trails that doesn't have ponding? These are roads with small pebbles/crushed rock rather than deep big gravel. I anticipate these conditions for my ride Saturday and I want to take the Jamis out in the worse way...but will do a road ride if this would be a problem. These are NOT dirt roads/trails. These are not "mountain bike trails" but crushed gravel roads? trails? that connect a park to paved roads & the gravel is quite fine.

Added: In some places the gravel is almost washed out where there has been flooding this spring. Can riding such surfaces when it is wet be harmful to them as it is to dirt trails?
