I just saw this note about 94 year old Phyllis Harmon and it made me smile:

    YAY!!!!!

And her century wasn't 100K but 100 miles.

Her 61-year-old daughter...! What a GREAT Mom's Day present she gave her mother!

here's hoping that they invest in a recumbent for her and plan a long life of biking together regularly. What a fantastic story. I want to be her when I grow up.

I was 57 when I did my first century, but it wasn't in 7 hours it was on a cross country and it took 13 hours.

Just what I needed to read!
After a recurrence of breast cancer in fall/autumn '09 and treatments thru '10 I am now trying to find MySelf again.
Which means looking at and thinking about The Bike and keeping up with the Giro d'Italia for inspiration or immersion therapy!
