I'm interested for my friend's sake. She literally JUST ordered this bike at Performance. She got it on a good sale. I don't think she would be interested unless it is significantly cheaper than what they are charging for the other one due to shipping and having it built etc. I will contact her to see what she would be willing to pay for your bike.

Kerry I'm just curious why you are selling Rosie? Is it because you don't like riding on the road with cars or is it you've had some not great rides??? I hope you will get another bike even if you sell Rosie. Just out of curiosity how tall are you. My friend who is interested is about 5'0 but short legged on top of that. She tried this bike in a 48 and could barely get across the top tube.

I have another bike and plan to ride that all over town. Actually, part of my "Sell Rosey" money will go to getting fenders, rack and panniers for the other bike.

I've always joked that I am 5'1" on a "tall day." I bought this used so I didn't get a chance to try a 48, but I would guess it wouldn't have fit me, either. I didn't have issues with standover on this bike.

Also, if your friend is interested, I'd even throw in a barely used Brooks B17 Imperial.

I own the 2009 version of this bike, also 44 cm. I am 5'1" and rode it about 6000 miles. I did not have any problem with standover, although I am not super-short legged. The top tube slopes down, which helps. I think it is a great starter road bike - I did not have any mechanical problems with

If your friend has a longer body/reach, then the 44 should fit her. I am more comfortable on my 44 cm Specialized Ruby, which is more compact. I was not comfortable using the brakes in the hoods on this bike, but had no problem in the drops or using the extra set of brakes on top - (I called them the "cheater brakes".

I hope you find a good home for her

Thanks! Also, the Shimano 105 is nice. Hard to find at this price point new or used, from what I was told when I bought this bike. My LBS was skeptical of my "eBay bike purchase" but when he assembled it he told me I got a heck of a deal.

How long is the original stem, and do you know the length of the top tube? Thanks!

Do you know what size the wheels are? It doesn't say if the 44cm comes with 650 or 700's

Kerry thought I'd let you know she opted to go with the new bike, good luck selling Rosey.

Thanks for the update - I really appreciate it.

Rosey still needs a good home! Pass along the word!
