I would start with the Baltimore Bike Club.

On second thought, they seem to ride mostly outside the city. Great places to ride, but not what you're looking for.

Hey everyone,
do y'all have any good suggestions for bike rides in Baltimore? I usually do my bike vacations on the Eastern Shore - so I don't really know downtown Baltimore much. I'm going to spend a few days there, and either travel with my bike or rent one (or get a cheap department store/craigslist bike maybe).
Any suggestions for nice routes or group rides are appreciated!
Thanks![]()

There's the Gwynn Falls trail. It goes through the city and some parks.

Tour du port & tour du parks go through baltimore city, you can probably figure out those routes on mapmyride:

Hello, strangers...
The Gwynns Falls trail is where I usually ride up in B'more-- Covers the gamut from downtown city streets to smooth dirt track in gorgeous parkland. If you do the trail, the only spot you might want to avoid is Cherry Hill Park all the way down on the southern end. And definitely make sure you swing up to Dickeyville at the northern end. There's also an off-shoot near Federal Hill that heads out to Fort McHenry, but I don't know if they've re-opened the fort to bikes-- It's been off-limits during retaining wall construction work.
If you're there on a Sunday, the Bike Bmore group does group rides out of Fells Point each weekend, weather permitting-- Here's their website and their Facebook page. I haven't ridden with them yet, but their routes look like fun. They've also got links to some local shops that you could call about rentals.
If you or anyone else wants to get together for a Baltimore ride, just send me a pm. This weekend's out as I've messed up my back, but other than that I'm always up for a B'more ride (weather permitting)

I'd be up for a B'more ride if TxDoc would like some company. I enjoy meeting other TE'rs from around the country/world.
I'm always up for a ride with you too, Kali, so let me know if you'd like company sometime.

Hello ladies and thanks so much for the info!!!
I will have 2 or 3 weekdays pretty much free - so yes let's get together for some rides if we can, and a cup of coffee too
As soon as I have the trip plans finalized I'll send you both a PM with the info. Thanks for the website too - I'll take a look at the shops and maybe craigslist. Worst case scenario, I can always walk into Wally-World and get a bike...![]()

If Kmerzhad doesn't have you covered, I'll have something you can ride. I'm 5'1 - but tend towards big bikes for my size to have the longer top tube.
And I think a crappy fitting bike of mine or kmerzad's is still better than a wallyworld bike. but won't be as good as the bikes you have listed in your signature![]()
Thanks a lot ladies! Will send travel plans and hopefully we can do a B'more TE ride![]()
