I have a friend who is in the market for a used bike, or maybe a new bike. Can anyone provide me a list of DC bike shops?

I think Silver Cycles in Silver Spring, MD (north of D.C.) has some used bikes, but I'm not sure.

    What kind of bike?

Phoenix Bikes in Arlington, VA sells used bikes, but the selection is limited to whatever was donated to them.

    - Gray 2010 carbon WSD road bike, Rivet Independence saddle
    - Red hardtail 26" aluminum mountain bike, Bontrager Evoke WSD saddle
    - Royal blue 2018 aluminum gravel bike, Rivet Pearl saddle

    Gone but not forgotten:
    - Silver 2003 aluminum road bike
    - Two awesome worn out Juliana saddles

I am probably going to donate my Specialized Dolce to Phoenix soon. It's in perfect shape, just needs a tune up. It's 51cm, 2005 model (bright beach blue).

Also am thinking about selling my Seven Alaris.... Last year, a couple of my bikes didn't see much ride time since I tend to ride my Isis and Lunas primarily.

Thanks, I'll pass this on. He's really tall, and wants to commute to work. He's concerned about buying used because he doesn't want to get a hot bike. I thought if he buys used from a local bike shop he's fairly safe from accidentally buying a stolen bike.
