We had snow overnight. About 2-3 inches, maybe more. It's raining now. Just west of here, up to 10 inches.

Sorry, about that Crankin. We are all melted, having record highs probably today - I can't believe it, it is supposed to be 70 today. I will miss it though - heading for Tucson in the 90's Wow!

Yup - we lost an apple tree and a huge limb from a maple in the backyard. Not a funny April Fools joke.

The county next to me got a couple of inches in the northern areas and their schools opened two hours late. Down by me and in the southern areas of the county, it's just a bit misty and wet, so when teenagers started coming downstairs this morning reporting the two hour delay apparently every parent thought it was an April Fool's joke! I saw the news online and didn't believe it until I checked with the county's website.

Sorry about those trees, SheFly. I always worry that a tree is going to fall on my roof, given the fact we are surrounded, even after having some removed that were just too close to the house.
Sun seems to be trying to come out now. The melting has commenced. Hoping to ride on Sunday, maybe tomorrow PM, if I am lucky. All of our snow had melted and the town cleaned up the streets in the past 2 weeks.

About 3-4 inches here in Worcester, and it's been rained on some so there's slush around. The good thing is that it will probably melt quickly.

We got 2 inches, but it's melting steadily and we won't need to shovel it. Winter doesn't have a chance anymore.

Not sure what to believe but they are predicting a dump of 10-15 cms. of snow and winds 30-50 km/hr. this weekend.

Moisture from warmer Pacific coast, over mountains to freeze on us.

Unless it's a warm chinook wind. The term is a bastardized aboriginal (native Indian) term that mixes in French.
It is a weather phenomena specific to this part of the Canadian Rockies because of our proximity to the whole ridge of the Canadian Rockies.
We (Calgary) are around 100 kms. east of the Canadian Rockies

Yuck. I love snow in January (if it's going to be cold anyway...) but NOT in April. We've even had it here in NC as late as April 18th (2"!), I heard on the local weather the other night. And I remember moving one year on my birthday (April 7) and big wet snowflakes falling, when we thought it was a "spring" move!

Hope it warms and melts very soon for all you folks! We've been chilly and rainy here in NC this past week but finally dried out today and are supposed to start warming up tomorrow afternoon. I'm so ready!
