Have any of you ever heard of these?
I used this down time to research bicycle lockers that are some of the train stations of the Long Island Railroad. Of course my town does not have them, but I found some info on them and wrote letters to a congressman and legistlater person for my area as I was told that is where I would have to go. My station is only 2 miles from my house, so it will be so perfect for me in the nicer weather.
The are big metal square containers with a locked door. No one can see what is inside. there is plenty of room for the bike and change of shoes and what ever else. I tried to copy the pic put it does not seem to work. It is such a great idea. These guys are running for election so it can be a good time or they are too busy they may not read my letter.

Wow - great that Thom got one - I asked about lockers at Rockridge and MacArthur Bart and was told there is a wait of more than a year... and they couldn't even promise that - some haven't turned over in 15+ years. I wish there were more...
Move to Antioch! There were three people ahead of him on the waiting list. He had one a day after signing up.

Ha! Good Ole NY...$60.00 a year plus $20.00 for the key wish is refundable when you give up the locker.
If they put them in, I would expect to get first dibbs since I was the person inquiring about them.
So, I guess these lockers might be all over.

ANOTHER good reason to move!
(Today's radio news story on the impact of an earthauke on the Hayward fault (on which I live!) gave me a nice little anxiety boost!)
Thom's key deposit was $25. Still - not bad. It gets him riding about an additional 100 miles a week. He still drives on Fridays since he has piano that day.
