The largest LBS in my area has their annual major sale this weekend - they have the largest cycling clothing selection for women in the area - and everything was 15% off, including those items already on sale. Quite frankly, I needed more shorts that actually fit and the same for jerseys...so I went to the sale![]()
The reason for this post is I found a delightful pair of Terry shorts - but they aren't regular shorts. They are indeed lycra, and have a pad - but the legs fit somewhere between regular shorts and baggy shorts, and there is an actual POCKET on the lower portion of the right leg! I hope the chamois works for me, I've not had much luck so far with non-PI Elite chamois...
I've looked on the TE website, and also the website for Terry, but cannot find these shorts on either site. The buyer for the store said that women are just snapping them up - the legs come down to just above my knees - the looser fit of the legs make them quite comfy. This is not thick material - they are not meant for cold-weather wear. Just thought I would mention it
I also decided that I didn't need the PI PRO Bibs. I noticed the new PI Elite drop-tail bibs have the In-R-Cool fabric now, the legs are longer than on my other pair (older version of the same drop-tail shorts), and the gripper is wider which I like quite a lot. I KNOW I can work with the chamois...so now I have no more need for shorts this yearI also found two jerseys that I like quite a lot at a good price - so I now finally have enough bike clothes so that I don't have to do laundry every time I go for a ride
Edited: I just found the Terry shorts - I don't want to link to another store here, but they are called "Liberty Short" by Terry. It will be interesting to see if the chamois works for me - I hope so!
