    Question about Cycling Radios

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Hey, ladies! Just have a quick question. (I'm not entirely sure if this is right place for it, but...)

My hubby and I are thinking about using radios when we cycle so that we can talk to each other when he's ahead of me, or vice-versa. Just wondering if any of you use them, and if so, what kind?

    Thanks!!!

DH and I use them skiing all the time. I think it is a great idea for cycling too.

I can not remember the exact kind we have but, it is Motorola brand.

We tried a couple kinds to use on the tandem, but I was too bugged by the amplified wind noise.

We have motorolas and don't really use them like I envisioned. I thought we could actually have short conversations, but it's really not clear enough. We mainly use them for "car back" and "gotta stop" type stuff for when we're a little too far about for hollering. That said, I really like having them, and would buy them again.
