FS: XS Titus Racer X Mountain Bike (in North Carolina)

Before I list this on Craigslist, I thought I'd list it here, though I can only offer local pickup (I live in Chapel Hill, NC and work in Research Triangle Park), so I know the "audience" is extremely limited. Would much rather sell to a TE person, though. Here's the Craigslist ad I plan to post:

TITUS Racer-X XC Mountain Bike - Size X-Small

Great opportunity to own an award-winning, classic full-suspension Titus Racer -X in a hard-to-find X-Small size for the smaller rider.

This is a lightweight fullie, coming in at about 25 lbs even with saddle and pedals. The frame is older (2001 or 2002), but many parts have been replaced since then. MSRP was over $3000 when new!

I purchased the bike in '06 and have only put about 800 gentle trail miles on it since then, nothing hard-core. Always stored it inside. It could use new stickers (they're peeling) and a pre-season tune-up (the front fork probably needs air), but this is a fun, lightweight, stiff, fast, and responsive XC bike with a great component mix. Google for yourself and read the reviews!

Best for lighter riders as it's built for an 80mm travel fork. This X-Small would be perfect for a petite woman or a teenager of either sex. Depending on your inseam, it could work for someone from about 5'0 to 5'3.5" or so. I am 5'2", and this bike fits me perfectly.

Selling (reluctantly!) only because we now live in the city in a small apt., and I don't get to do much mountain biking any more, plus I don't have the room for all my bikes and am concentrating on road riding now. I love this bike, though, and will miss it!

Pedals - Standard mountain flats; photos show Eggbeaters, but they are not included in the sale
Cyclometer (installed, wired) - Cateye Mity 8
Chain - Wipperman stainless steel with Connex master link makes chain removal a breeze

Local pickup only as I don't currently have a relationship with an LBS that ships nor a way of packing the bike myself.

PM if interested and with any questions.

    $700.

I wish someone would buy this bike & put me out of my misery. It's awesome, my size, & my price. I'd even drive to the next state to pick it up. Why, oh why, do we have to live so far apart, Emily!?

Congrats Emily! Nice bike anyway. I want to buy it but it's already been sold. Any other bike just like that's for sale? Let me know.

I can say now that I was experiencing bike lust when looking at your pictures I think it would have even fit me - if it hadn't been for my custom Gunnar I would have considered driving to North Carolina to get it Considering I haven't yet been to the mountain bike clinic it is probably a good thing that I've been tied up paying off the other bike!

    Congratulations on the sale!
