    Wonky Tri Shorts Sizing

Do all manufacturers do this, or just PI? I have discovered now with 2 different pair of PI tri shorts that I need a large...or maybe even XL, when I wear M in most of their regular cycling shorts. It's like reverse vanity sizing.

    Yep. It's insane.

At least it's equal opportunity reverse vanity sizing as the tops tend to run just as small as the bottoms!

Good to know! I don't know why they do this...they should really have a separate sizing chart. The tri shorts are really a size-and-a-half off.

Yes. Tri clothes are the one place I often have to wear an M when I'm usually an S/XS. It seems to be worse with two piece sets (and wetsuits), the one pieces seem to be a little better. Some brands seem decent - I bought an Orca tri top off of steep and cheap that had what looked like regular sizing (we'll find out...).

I don't have any PI tri stuff, but it's definitely the case with Zoot, too.

Also, what's with the tops being so SHORT? I'm short and the tops are short on ME.

Seriously! I'm also short, but I do have a long torso and it's insane. Last year, I wore the same LG tri top for all my races and it worked ok. LG always struck me as long in the body in cycling clothes, and it seems to hold over for tri stuff as well. But I've tried 2XU, Zoot, DeSoto and Descente tops and they are all very short in the body. Mabye Tyr? I just got my first Tyr swimsuit last night and it's definitely long enough (yay!), so maybe their tri stuff is too?

I've never tried a one piece tri suit and I doubt they'll ever fit me seeing as how I have a long torso and I'm now a small on top and still a large on the bottom.

The PI tri shorts are insanely small and the bands on the legs are super tight too! I don't know what the deal is?!?!
