    Hi All! I've been away from TE for the winter but with temps in the 40's-50's it's time to get back on the saddle What better way to start out the season than with a new (to me) bike? So here is my newest aquisition.. it's a 2009 Specialized Vita (base model) that I found at a swap meet and finagled the price down to $225. I prefer drop bars to the flat bars it came with so at the same swap meet I picked up new stem, bars, and brake levers for $20. The only full priced items were the 8sp bar end shifters wich were $100. A good friend of mine gave me the fenders and installed the new components for free.. So.. for a paltry $345 I have a sexy 25 lb crotch rocket to play with this season. (Installing a carbon seatpost I have laying around will shave off a few more OZ's) I've never had a bike that weighed less than 30lbs before.. what a difference it makes!
