I just had to share ...
I left the stock saddle on my commuter bike for seven years, figuring that even though it was awful, I almost never rode that bike far enough to matter.
Even when I wore out the Lithia on my road bike and replaced it with a Jett, I forgot to bring it with me to slap on the commuter, and another year went by.
Last week my wrist was finally strong enough to attempt tackling the saddle fixing bolt. (As it turns out, it was heavily greased and unbelievably easy to loosen, and I needn't have waited even the extra week after my wrist was ready to ride the bike.)
Today I rode 14.5 miles on that worn-out Lithia saddle. In jeans. With no problems. My crotch is doing a happy dance.![]()

In the same vein of "why didn't I do that years ago?!", today I returned a cable box I haven't used in over a year. I'll be saving around $60 a year to not have it taking up space.
