Redline makes a nice cross bike at a pretty broad range of $$$$. Their 48cm fits 5'5" pretty well.

I have a friend that is a new rider. She wants a bike she can ride on the road and on dirt roads. She needs a 49-50 frame any ideas?

How about a Boo?!
I know someone who now rides one and he loves it. Of course, as you can see, they're quite pricey.
In a more realistic world... Specialized makes a nice cross bike and they have a few that are on the less expensive end.Michelle
