What type of rider are you?

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I have to say that it's great to find a forum when women who ride seem to be talking about the kind of stuff I'm interested in! But looking through the various threads I noticed that most people here seem to ride road bikes. So I thought I'd post a poll (to satisfy my own curiousity) to find out the split between mountain bikers and roadies....

Let's get voting! I am a mt biker at heart. I am thinking about getting a road bike to improve some of my skills- fitness, sprints and to ride into town. I could just put slicks on my mt bike, but road bikes look so cool.

Started about 12 years ago with off road riding. Switched to riding my mountain bike on the road. Stopped riding for about 7 years. Started riding the mountain bike on the road again. Last year bought a tandem and just last week got my Rivendell.

Thinking hard about turning the mt. bike back into an off road ride.

I am both, though more of a roadie until later in the year. Don't make me choose just one!!!

i used to run. it started to hurt after a while. i had always wanted to get into cycling, but never knew where to start. now i am absolutely addicted.

from the sounds of it, and from my local area, there are no female mechanics around. maybe i should try and change that. hmmmmmm.

i love mountain biking but haven't gone out in such a long time. i am thoroughly addicted to the road.

I'm a roadie but I've also got a Halfords mountain bike for when I need a change of pace, or for when i just want to get covered in mud!

    Hello Everyone.

I'm new to the biking forum. I do enjoy reading all of the interesting subjects that you guys chat about. As far as what type of biker I'm, I have to say a little of both.

I use my road bike to train for the mountain bike race season. I enjoy a good road ride, but there is nothing like going into the woods & having fun on my mountian bike!!!

Right now biking is a little difficult, due to SNOW!!! Take care all.

    Totally addicted to the road

Been on my road bike since October... and I'm utterly enamored with road riding.

    In love. Obsessed. Absolutely addicted.

And then there's the track.... stay tuned....

    road...no mountain...no road...

Been a roadie for a lot longer than been on a mt bike, but enjoy both. The road is still my first love though...
To train a dog, you must be more interesting than dirt.

    Roadie/Triathlon?

Hi All - this is my first post.
I would have to say that I am a road bike kinda gal who does triathlons. I love it all - it's a good journey as long as I am going forward.
