    appetizer ideas

I'm going to my one and only Christmas party on Friday (nobody seems to be having parties this year!)

I need to take along an appetizer, but can't really think of anything. Is there a recipe that's tried and true and is a favourite of yours that you can share?

beleggede gouda kaas ( aged gouda cheese) chopped in chunks and stuck on toothpicks with either pieces of fresh pineapple, or candied ginger. Failing availability of aged gouda cheese, a good sharp cheddar or better yet a brie cheese melted in the oven with raspbery or cranberry jelly and served with crackers. Veru elegant looking.

thanks for the ideas! interesting you mention the cheese, especially the melted one with cran/raspberry jelly. My boyfriend's suggestion was grilled halloumi cheese with cranberry sauce on top. I've never had halloumi so I'm curious to try it.

My stock party contribution is always deviled eggs. Probably because it's about the only appetizer recipe I know
