    proper size saddle = happy a$$ :-D

After reading all the posts on here about the importance of the right sized saddle to fit your sitbones I finally realized that the discomfort I was feeling after 15-20 miles just might be due to my saddle.

Went off to the local bike shop the other day and had them measure me on the butt-o-meter and sure enough my saddle was not wide enough!

WOW, after trying the new saddle for a couple of rides on the trainer it is amazing the difference. Who would have though something some simple could make such a HUGH difference!

Thank you for all the wonderful advice I find on here!!!!

it makes a WORLD of difference. Mine was too small as well.
I ended up with a Specialized Body geometry saddle (by far the MOST comfortable) i have tried.

I totally know what you mean-- about 6 weeks ago I finally broke down and bought a new saddle (a terry butterfly) and it's amazing how comfortable it is. And it's not just my rear that's happy, my hands feel better too...

Which of the Specialized saddles did you girls end up with? Ruby, Jett, etc? I know everyone is different, but I'd like to hear what you picked. I'm needing one myself.
    I aspire to be...the best I can be...the best I've ever been!
