I haven't been, but would love to go one day!
Sorry I'm not much help. Would love to hear from others who have been. I had a friend do the race last year- but nobody was there spectating for him.

Anyone ever been to the Leadville races to spectate? SO put the idea into my head and now it sounds fantastic...except I'm not as able to hike as I once was and my poor little car doesn't like unpaved roads. I'm trying to get info on what to expect here.
The race website has a "spectators" tab but it seems to mean aid crews.

The newspaper has been back and forth all week about whether Lance is going to be there. I guess he's currently in Aspen but hasn't committed to racing. Leipheimer will race though - apparently his first mountain bike race?
I'm getting excited!
