Good for you. It sounds like it's coming back easily. One thing I know from going through hard times is, you always come back stronger.

well, I have finally managed to get my life organized enough to go into the gym and sign up with a trainer. I start tomorrow. In the meantime I have been on my bike the last two days in spite of the heat. Not outstanding mileage compared to what I was doing- only 24 miles each time, and I have lost some speed but other than that, I am not hurting or exhausted so it will come back with a bit of work. It is very warm though- by the time I got off the road today at 10:30 the feels like temp was 108 although the real temperature was only 98.
Ah houston and its environs in the summer.
I had the usual idiot driver try to pass on the left when I was signaling for a left turn at at stop sign at a right hook- Yes, I can still ditch dive.
I also tried about a mile on gravel when a road I haven't ridden before changed character- but then came to my senses and back tracked so all in all it was an average ride.
It will be a nice git of terrain to ride in because once you get out past the burbs there are lots of roads that just go for miles through the texas flatland and plains.
I'm hoping to ride again friday and or saturday, depending on how badly I hurt from the trainer tomorrow.
It's great to be back on the bike and feeling like I am beginning to get my life back a bit.
