Sadly, most Americans have no idea who she is yet think Lance is some kind of superman.

    Jeannine Longo wins

She is definitely a very talented person!! There should be more articles based on her story, career... unfortunately we tend to read the same articles... I challenged one road magazine about an article they wrote.( a few months ago) It was about people training/racing and riding really well into their late 40's etc... I asked them to think outside the box... like why was Jeanine Longo not in their article? She has more race wins, national championship jerseys, than anyone... And yet, while we talk about a certain person competing at 38... what about 51?

It's nothing short of amazing that someone who was at the top of the sport over 20 years ago is still winning titles.

Late bloomers are one thing (and amazing in their own right), but I don't know of anyone, in any sport, who's had a career like Jeannie Longo's.

    From the article:

She most likely would have won more national time trial titles but they were only introduced to the women’s programme in 1995.
She is definitely one in a million and will probably continue to make headline news well into her 80's.
