I love Florida's Natural orange juice. It actually tastes like oranges!! Imagine that. I've been drinking it every night with dinner for a few years now. I like the no pulp version with calcium and vitamin D, so I get a little extra nutrition along with it. I also drink it after long rides as a tasty recovery drink.
But the grocery store I shop at (Harris Teeter) decided Florida's Natural doesn't make enough money for them so they stopped selling it. I asked someone in the dairy department why it was gone, and he was surprised because he said it sells well. But a manager told me it's "not a first tier brand" so they got rid of it to make room for more Tropicana and their own store brand.
I am SO not happy about this!!!
I tried Simply Natural because it was on sale, but it's not as good and is too expensive at regular price. I just opened a carton of Minute Maid and it's so nasty I think I might dump the whole 1/2 gallon down the drain. I won't even consider Tropicana -- I already know I don't like that. And the store brand's version of the calcium-enriched juice doesn't have any vitamin D, so never mind with that.
This means I now have to go to a second grocery store just to get juice.![]()
I think I need to write Harris Teeter a letter...

If you're truly only purchasing orange juice, you could always ride your bike to the second store with a backpack..

Ha! I knew someone would suggest that.
I do my errands in groups so I would hit store #2 after store #1, on my way home from work or other errands. And I will buy 3-4 half-gallon cartons at a time to cut down on the number of times I have to go to store #2.
It just gets me when a store decides to drop the superior product like that, especially in this case when they're dropping the juice from Florida orange growers so they can sell more from the companies that import oranges from another continent.
I think a letter is in order.

Another Florida's Natural fan. I'd write the letter. And good luck!

It's really the only orange juice I like, too, so I understand your irritation. Good luck with the letter!

Just in the last month I've started drinking orange juice again, and I've become a Florida's Natural fan. I initially picked it because it was the only one that didn't import their oranges. Once I drank it, I really enjoyed the taste. That's too bad they decided to take business away from a company based entirely in the US in order to support the corporate monsters. A letter may not change anything, but it might make you feel better.
A letter to FN might be in order, too. Let them know that you'll still buy their product even if they have to increase their prices to buy the shelf space. (That's how it works, you know.)

Many of the growers in my area are part of the Floridas Natural co-op. It is a quality product and it is a vital part of our local economy. The contact info for the company can be found at the link below:

It might also help to write to the corporate office for your local store.

Maybe you could get all your stuff at the second store.
