**WARNING THIS INCLUDES STOMACH SICKNESS**

The past two days I have gone riding in our blistering Texas summer. Yesterday we went mountain biking in the afternoon, it was about 4:00 but a shady trail. After three breaks laying on the ground I ended up throwing up. It was awful I felt better but didn't feel like eating the rest of the day.

Today we went on a road ride and I stopped with 3 miles from the house and waited for DH to get our truck. While I was waiting I tried to sip drinks and just keep my heart rate down. I was in the shade but the breeze was slight. By the time DH got back 10-15 later with the truck and a cold towel for me, I was bolting to the trash can. This was way more awful, I spent a good 2 minutes dry heaving. I was able to eat dinner tonight.

I have lived in Texas 29 years, this is the first time I have ended up like this. I was well hydrated, is there any other way to keep heat from making you sick? I dumped water on my head, rode within my limits in fact I was taking hills easy, put ice in my bra, ate enough to not bottom out, and took breaks. I am only worried because of the frequency of getting sick.
