    Hi,
I am new to the forum and just bought my first road bike 2010 trek 2.1. Just wondering what is the BEST SEAT TO BUY FOR MY SORE ---. I bought some cannondale shorts with the pads and i don't think they work that great. So for all you experienced riders please give some suggestions on gear that works. Also for anyone with a trek 2.1 have you had any problems??? Thank-you in advance for your help.

Trek=Bontrager=The Most Hated Saddle On Earth.

I think I remember one person saying they liked them.

I have a Trek 2.1 (not WSD) and I love it. It did take me a little bit of experimenting to find a saddle that worked for me (turned out to be an ISM Adamo Road) and adjusting to make that saddle even work for me, but overall I love the bike.

You should expect a saddle to be a personalized part of your bike!

I have a 2.1 and I did one 40 mile road on that bontrager saddle and I couldn't ride for a week! Saddles are very personal. There isn't a consensus here. I recommend the brooks.

If you look under the "gear and accessories" heading, there is a "favorite/least favorite saddle" forum.

I had one bontrager saddle that surprisingly didn't bother me at all but, my dog hated it and proceeded to tear it to shreds, when I left it on the floor one day LOL. She must have known their reputation.

My trek 520 came with another bontrager saddle that is quite horrible. I swapped it out with a Terry saddle I found on their their website on sale. You have 30 days to exchange their saddle for a new one if you don't like it either....I love my new Terry saddle. Very comfy.

I got the Annie O saddle...matches my bike perfectly... and is very comfy for me. It's wider than some saddles. but it seems to fit my body pretty well.

I have a 2010 Trek 2.1 WSD and have always had a little trouble with my saddle. But since I have a bike fit and the saddle is finally setting where it is supposed to be I am having more issues but in different areas. It kinda sucks! I wish I had some words of wisdom for you. I am on the saddle search myself.

I have the 09 2.1 WSD in orange/cream. I replaced the torture instrument, known as a Bontrager saddle, with a Brooks B17. It has taken a couple hundred miles to dial in the right position for my girlie parts, but sit bones were good from the beginning...YMMV.
