Wanted: Cheap bike for borrow or buy

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    Hello Ladies,

I will be in San Francisco for 3 weeks visiting a friend and would really love if anyone in that area has an old bike I can borrow or buy for my time there. My friend does not have a car and will be working during the week. A bike will help me get around town on my own. I have been checking Craigslist and haven't been able to find something cheap. I am a very trustworthy person and would take care of your property as if it is my own. If anyone in the San Francisco area would be willing to do something like that, please respond to this post and we can talk offline.

    Thank you!!!!

I don't have any advice for finding a bike, but if you are going to be in SF for three weeks, and if it's all within the same month, it might be worth looking into getting a Muni pass.

Nice blog, by the way. I'm originally from Pittsburgh and it's always neat to see people making their way around town on bikes!

My current bike is a Giant and it is 17 inches. I'm just looking for a commuter type bike. I've never been on a road bike before but hey, I can get comfortable on one. I want it more for just exploring the city and not so much because I "need" to go somewhere.

I rented from this place when I visited NYC. I had an injury and could barely walk so it was a great way to get around.
