missed whale..near bike ride

I had no idea until I came home after biking around, ate and was wandering around on a blog.

It's REALLY rare to see any whale or dolphins in this body of water which is downtown Vancouver. Sighting was not far from home. Several years ago, one of the tiny ferry boat operators told me that 2 wild dolphins accidentally swam in from the ocean. They were abit 'lost' swimming about for a day or so. The local university and I think the federal govn't dept. for fisheries had to ensure they wouldn't accident tip boats by the marina, kayakers, etc.
