Backpacking magazine gave them the editors choice award. I have been using the New Balance Womens Mt Rainer 1500 GT (another editors choice award), and love them. But they just don't breathe. It's getting wicked hot here in AZ, and I need another boot. Kayland seems to use some proprietary material that allows their boots to supposedly breathe better than gortex.
